Tips for Morrow
One thing at a time, each with a short film of Morrow doing it. They are the same tips we send by mail in your first weeks.
Empty your head first.
A full head makes every choice harder. Open the brain dump from your profile menu and type everything on your mind, one thing at a time. Morrow turns it into cards, so you choose with a clear head.
Put Morrow in your dock and on your Home Screen.
Morrow runs in your browser, but it is nicer as an app: its own window, its own icon, and one tap to your day. It takes 20 seconds, and you need no App Store.
Five is enough.
Today holds up to five cards. That is on purpose: a short list is a list you finish. Everything else stays on your board, safe, until you choose it.
Close your day.
In the evening, the cloud asks if you want to close your day. In two minutes you see what you finished, decide what to do with the rest, and choose how tomorrow starts.
See your meetings next to your day.
Connect your calendar and your meetings stand next to Today, with the free time between them. So you can see if your cards really fit.
Keep one, park the rest.
Some days go wrong. The next morning, Morrow shows the cards that were left. Choose Keep one, park the rest: one card stays for today, the others wait without a date. One undo puts it all back.
Turn a line into a card.
Writing notes in a card? Point at a line, open its menu and choose Make a card. It lands on your board, right under the card you are reading, and the line stays in your note.
Let Morrow help you choose.
Not sure what to do today? Press Help me choose on Today. Morrow looks at your dates, your meetings and what moved this week, and tells you why it picks a card.
Look back on your week.
Progress shows what you finished, when you work best, and how your days really go. It is all counted from your own board, nothing else.
Not doing it? Delete it, don’t tick it.
A tick tells Morrow you finished a card, and Progress counts it. A card you are simply not doing should not count, so delete it instead. Changed your mind? Undo brings it back.
Put a picture in a card.
A screenshot of the error, a photo of the whiteboard, the receipt you need later. Keep it in the card, right next to the task it belongs to, on every device you use.
Hear your day.
Morrow plays a short sound when something good happens: a bright chime when you tick a card off, two soft notes when you put one on Today. If you hear nothing, your browser has the sound off.
Put a card between your meetings.
Got a free hour between two meetings? Put the card you want to do then right there. It stays between those meetings, without a start time, and you can move it back whenever you like.
